       Oct 23 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:
    
    ** Chevron  CVX.N  agreed to buy U.S. rival Hess  HES.N  for
$53 billion in stock, in a deal that reflects top U.S. energy
companies drive for oil and gas assets in a world seeking
lower-risk future fossil supplies and higher shareholder

    ** Disney  DIS.N  is nearing a deal to sell its India
operations, which it values at around $10 billion, to Reliance
Industries  RELI.NS , its biggest rival in the country, rather
than sell the business in parts, Bloomberg News reported on

    ** Payments software vendor EngageSmart  ESMT.N  said on
Monday it would be taken private by Vista Equity Partners for
about $4 billion, marking the latest buyout deal in the

    ** Switzerland's Roche  ROG.S  has agreed to pay an initial
$7.1 billion to Roivant  ROIV.O  and Pfizer  PFE.N  for rights

    ** Industrial technologies company Fortive Corporation

agreement to acquire German manufacturer EA Elektro-Automatik

    ** Airbus  AIR.PA  said on Monday it had signed two
contracts valued at 1.2 billion euros ($1.27 billion) to provide
capability enhancement and in-service support of France's fleet

    ** China-based Shenghe Resources  600392.SS  said on Monday
its unit's Singapore firm signed an agreement to acquire new

    ** UniCredit  CRDI.MI  said on Monday it plans to become
Alpha Bank's  ACBr.AT  biggest investor by buying a 9% stake

said on Monday Chilean lithium miner SQM  SQMA.SN  will buy a
30% stake in a Pilbara lithium project from its joint venture
